Flatbread

Nutri V Flatbread

Serves: 8 or 16 flatbreads 

Prep time: 20 minutes 

Cook time: 15 minutes  


Ingredients:

  • 4 cups plain flour

  • 30g any Nutri V vegetable powder 

  • 50g butter (or 50ml olive oil for vegan option)

  • 2.5 cups boiling water

  • Pinch of salt

You will also need:

  • 2 medium mixing bowls 

Method:

  1. Place flour, vegetable powder and salt in a bowl and mix.

  2. In another bowl with boiling water, add butter and let it melt.

  3. Add wet mix to the flour mix and stir through with a knife until mostly mixed, then tip on the bench and knead until combined and smooth. Add a little more water if not fully combined but shouldn’t be wet or sticky to handle.

  4. Divide into even amounts, either 16 small wraps or 8 larger ones.

  5. Roll out each ball and with a little flour between each. 

  6. Heat a heavy bottom pan until very hot.

  7. Cook each wrap for about 1min on each side (if the pan is hot enough they should puff up a little).
